Do you take reservations?
We accept standard reservations via Resy.com for up to 8 guests. We are now offering family style dining menus and party packages for groups of 9-24 guests! You can book these here.
Are your patios open (even in the winter)?
If weather permits, you’re welcome to order food and drinks to-go and sit out on the patios! You can just walk-in and order at the bar. We don’t have full-service on the patios in the off-seasons months, however.
Do you allow dogs?
Dogs are welcome on the patios of all of our Chicago locations.
How do I book a private event?
You can email events@parsonschickenandfish.com for more info on pricing and how to book.
What kind of fish do you use?
We use pollock for our fish fry and our fish sandwich.
Do you use peanuts or peanut oil in your restaurant?
We fry in a soybean based oil. You can always let your server know of the allergy and we'll make sure you're taken care of. Let us know if you have any other questions!
Is it safe for someone with a shrimp allergy to eat your food without worrying about cross contamination?
It depends how severe your allergy is. Our shellfish is fried in the same fryers as our chicken and fish, so if that point of cross contact would be an issue, we would encourage you not to have any of our fried dishes. However, we have plenty of non-fried dishes that would make great substitutions ,and you can always let your server know about your allergy and we can make sure you’re accommodated!
Do you use eggs in the batter for the chicken or fish?
We do use eggs in both the chicken and fish flour. Our grilled chicken is a delicious alternative!
I'm lactose intolerant, do you marinate your chicken in buttermilk?
Our fried chicken is dipped in buttermilk before we fry it, so it is not dairy-free. Our grilled chicken is dairy-free, though! You can always let your server know about your lactose allergy and we’ll make sure you're taken care of!
I have a poultry allergy, is your fish cooked in a separate fryer than your chicken?
Due to how our fryers are filtered, we cannot guarantee that the oil hasn't been exposed to chicken, and unfortunately can't accommodate this allergy. Our burger and our veggie club are great alternative entrees, though! You can always let your server know about your allergy and they'll happily accommodate you!
Is your chicken kosher or halal?
Our chicken is not kosher or halal at this time.
Are the plant-based menu items vegetarian or vegan?
Both the Fried Not-Chicken Sandwich and the Hot Not-Chicken Sandwich are made with Tindle, a plant-based chicken alternative, that we've coated and fried in Parson's signature dredge (which contains eggs and buttermilk — sorry, vegan buddies). Our plant-based burger is made from Beyond patties. While all these items are vegetarian, plant-based items may share a griddle, fryer, or surface with poultry, seafood, shellfish, and egg products.
